Class 2R

Welcome to the class page for Class 2R.

Hi, my name is Mrs Roche and I am the class teacher for 2R. I am lucky to have three amazing 
Teaching Assistants working with me during the week. These are Miss Pointon, Mrs Mahon and Miss 
Pattison. Miss Pointon and Mrs Mahon support a child in our class and Miss Pattison supports our 
class with lots of lessons, especially Reading and Phonics.

We follow the Monster Phonics scheme to support our reading and phonics learning and love to 
meet all the different characters from Monster Phonics Land!

In Year 2 we have amazing topics from the Cornerstones Curriculum. My favourite is Wriggle and 
Crawl when we learn all about wonderful minibeasts! This year we even visited Knowsley Safari Park 
to learn more about animals and their habitats.

We are very proud of our learning and behaviour in Year 2 and enjoy collecting Class Dojo points, 
getting smelly stickers and marbles for our class jar.
