It is my absolute delight to be able to share with you, on this ‘National Thank A Teacher Day 2024’, that our one and only Mrs Gawthrope has been nominated by one of our parents here at Park View for the Pearson National Teaching Awards 2024 in the ‘Unsung Hero of the Year’ category!

I am even more delighted to reveal that she has now been announced as a 2024 Silver Award Winner!

The ‘Unsung Hero of the Year’ award recognises anyone on the staff team who has positively enhanced the lives of others in their school community; those who work behind the scenes with a positive attitude, a willingness to help in whatever capacity necessary and commitment in doing so, to a high standard. This award is for those people who consistently go the extra mile.

Mrs Gawthrope certainly goes the extra mile and is an absolute treasure to us here at Park View Primary School and the community that we serve! She has gone out of her way to provide support, guidance, kindness and comfort to many children and their families over the years and thoroughly deserves to be recognised with such a prestigious award. She is an absolute star and shines brightly across school in many ways, especially the work she does in the Rainbow Room. We are so privileged to work with such an amazing colleague and we are incredibly proud congratulate her today on this amazing achievement!
